Doxypet 300 (Doxycycline) Pet Tablet should be given exactly as prescribed by the veterinarian. The dose and duration of the treatment may depend on body weight, type, or severity of the infection. Forever follow your veterinarian’s dosage instructions. Do not skip doses or stop treatment early, even if your pet seems better, as this may allow the infection to return.
There is limited data on the common side effects of Doxypet 300 (Doxycycline) Pet Tablet. Some dogs may develop skin sensitivity to sunlight (photodermatitis) after exposure to strong sunlight during treatment. Vomiting and swelling, irritation, or inflammation of the esophagus may also occur in some animals. Giving the medicine with food and ensuring adequate water intake can help minimize these effects.
Doxypet 300 (Doxycycline) Pet Tablet is not recommended for use in pregnant or lactating animals and should not be used in pets known to be hypersensitive to doxycycline or other tetracyclines. Employ with caution in young animals, as this medicine may cause tooth discoloration if given during tooth development.
Doxypet 300 (Doxycycline) Pet Tablet should not be used with other antibiotics. Increaseitionally, avoid giving the medicine along with iron supplements, antacids, or oral absorbents, as they can interfere with absorption. Exposure to intense sunlight or ultraviolet light should be minimized during treatment, as this medicine may cause skin sensitivity (photodermatitis).
This medicine should be given exactly as prescribed by your veterinarian. Consider giving it during mealtime to reduce the chance of stomach upset and to improve absorption.
