Description:

Deplatt tablet is an antiplatelet medicine. This tablet reduces the risk of formation of blood clots in the blood vessels and reduces the risk of heart attack, stroke and heart-related chest pain. It contains clopidogrel as an active ingredient. Deplatt inhibits the activity of an enzyme responsible for blood clotting. Along with the Deplatt, a slight modification in lifestyle including a healthy diet, avoiding smoke and alcohol, weight loss, etc is more helpful to manage the heart condition. The medicine is mostly prescribed to patients who are at high risk of heart strokes or cardiovascular diseases. Take Deplatt as advised by your doctor. Never miss the dose of this medicine. Deplatt Tablet is an antiplatelet medicine, or blood thinner. It works by preventing cells called platelets from sticking together and helps to prevent your blood from clotting inside veins and arteries. This helps the blood flow freely around your body thereby preventing a heart attack or stroke (or deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism). Take this medicine regularly and make appropriate lifestyle changes to achieve maximum benefits. It is often prescribed along with a low dose of aspirin which also helps to prevent blood from clotting.

Directions For Use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Deplatt Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

The most common side effect of Deplatt Tablet is bleeding. This may lead to bruising on the skin, nosebleeds, blood in the urine or stools (black tarry stools), or heavier periods than usual in females. In case you have a minor injury, such as a small cut while shaving, bleeding may take longer than usual to stop.
