Description:
Cresemba 200mg Powder for infusion is an antifungal medicine. It is used to treat certain types of fungal infections called invasive aspergillosis and invasive mucormycosis in patients 18 years of age and older. It works by stopping the growth of fungi in the body.Cresemba 200mg Powder for infusion is given by a doctor or a nurse. Do not self-administer this medicine at home. The dose and duration of the treatment will depend on the severity of your condition. Continue to get the injection until you finish your complete course, even if your symptoms disappear after a few days. Stopping it too early may result in a return of the infection.
The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, increased liver enzymes, decreased potassium level in blood, constipation, breathlessness, cough, peripheral edema, and back pain. If any of these side effects persist or worsen, consult with your doctor. In rare cases, Cresemba 200mg Powder for infusion may cause serious liver disease. Get medical help right away if you have any symptoms of liver damage, including persistent nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach pain, yellowing eyes/skin, or dark urine.
Earlier getting the injection, tell your doctor if you have any known history of allergy to this medicine. Let your doctor also if you have any preexisting medical conditions, especially liver disease and heart problems. This medicine may make you dizzy. Avoid consumption of alcohol while on treatment with this medicine. Increaseitionally, do not drive, use machinery, or do anything that needs alertness until you know how the medicine works. Earlier taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, as it can cause harmful effects to the developing baby.
