Description:

Cilacar-M 10/25 Tablet ER is a medicine used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It is a combination of two medicines that effectively controls blood pressure when a single medication is not effective. By lowering the blood pressure, it helps in preventing future heart attack and stroke.

You can take Cilacar-M 10/25 Tablet ER at any time of day, with food, but it is best to take it at the same time each day. Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. Even if you feel well, do not stop this medicine on your own because high blood pressure often has no symptoms. If you stop taking it, your condition may get worse. Keeping active with regular exercise, reducing your weight and eating a healthy diet will also help control your blood pressure. Follow your doctor’s advice while taking this medicine

Uses:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cilacar-M 10/25 Tablet ER is to be taken with food.

Directions For Use:

  • You have been prescribed Cilacar-M 10/25 Tablet ER for the treatment of high blood pressure.
  • Lowering blood pressure reduces chance of future heart attack & strokes.
  • It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.
  • Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor as it can cause sudden increase in your blood pressure.

Side Effects:

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

  • Abnormal phosphorous level in blood

  • You have any heart-related problems such as low blood pressure, heart failure, etc.
  • You experience chest pain after taking this medicine.
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You experience an allergic reaction after taking the Cilacar M.
  • You have medical conditions such as diabetes, heart conditions, liver or kidney disease.
  • You have respiratory conditions like asthma and obstructive lungs disease (COPD).
  • You have a tumour of the adrenal gland tissue (Pheochromocytoma).
  • You have an overactive thyroid (a condition when the thyroid gland produces too much of the thyroxine hormone).
