Description:

Carnisure Syrup belongs to a class of medications called amino acids. It is used in the treatment of carnitine deficiency. It helps the body produce energy and improve the efficiency of body function.

Carnisure Syrup should be taken with food and it should be chewed thoroughly before swallowing. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not start or stop taking this medicine without a doctor's prescription.

Carnisure Syrup is usually a safe medicine, however, it may cause nausea and vomiting. Your doctor may suggest you to monitor your blood glucose levels regularly while you are taking the medicine.

Earlier starting the medicine, inform your doctor if you have any other medical conditions or are taking any other medications. Tolerants with severe kidney disease should not take this medicine unless prescribed by the doctor.

Directions For Use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Carnisure Syrup should be taken with or after food.

Is Carnisure Syrup a steroid?

Carnisure Syrup is not a steroid. It contains Levo-carnitine which is a type of amino acid (made from the amino acids lysine and methionine). It helps in transporting fats to the cells, where fats get metabolized in order to produce energy. It is used to treat primary and secondary Levo-carnitine deficiency.

When can a carnitine deficiency occur?

Carnitine deficiency may be of two types, primary and secondary. Primary is genetic and may show symptoms by five years of age. Whereas, secondary may occur due to certain disorders like kidney problems (chronic kidney failure) and use of antibiotics that reduces its absorption and increases its excretion.

Does warfarin have any effect on Carnisure Syrup?

In some patients, warfarin when taken along with Carnisure Syrup may increase the time required for the formation of blood clot. Hence, before starting Carnisure Syrup, inform your doctor if you are taking warfarin.

What is the best time to take Carnisure Syrup?

Carnisure Syrup should be taken as directed by your doctor. Generally, it is advised to be taken 3-4 times daily, preferably with meals or after meals.

Can Carnisure Syrup be taken by diabetics?

Affirmative, Carnisure Syrup can be taken by patients with diabetes. However, it is important to know that it contains sucrose. Some studies have shown that it may improve insulin sensitivity. Along with that, it may also be helpful in relieving nerve pain.

Does Carnisure Syrup cause diarrhea?

Carnisure Syrup may very rarely cause diarrhea. This effect of the medicine can be reduced by decreasing the dose of Carnisure Syrup. But, if you are taking oral solution then take it slowly or dilute it more.
