Description:

Canditas-V Gel is an antifungal medication. It is used in the treatment of fungal vaginal infections that may cause vaginal burning, itching, and abnormal discharge. It kills fungi by destroying the fungal cell membrane.

Canditas-V Gel is for external use only. You should use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It is best to use it at night for better results. The affected area should be clean before using the medicine. You must wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying this medicine. Do not stop using it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better.


Some of the common side effects include vaginal burning sensation and irritation. If the side effects bother you or do not go away, let your doctor know.


It is not likely that other medicines you take by mouth or injection will affect the way it works, but talk to your doctor before using it if you have used a similar medicine before and had an allergic reaction. This medicine should only be used if it is clearly needed during pregnancy.

Canditas-V Gel is an antifungal medicine used to treat vaginal thrush (fungal infections of the vagina) caused by an overgrowth of Franka yeast. It helps relieve symptoms such as vaginal itching, burning, soreness, abnormal discharge, and irritation of the vulva (external thrush).

How soon can I expect relief from symptoms?

Symptoms such as itching, burning, and soreness usually begin to improve within a few days of starting treatment. However, it may take several days for symptoms to clear completely. If there is no improvement within 7 days, consult your doctor.

Can I stop using Canditas-V Gel once my symptoms improve?

No. You should complete the full course of treatment (single-day or multi-day, as prescribed). Stopping treatment too early may allow the infection to return.

Should I avoid sexual intercourse during treatment?

Affirmative. It is recommended to avoid vaginal intercourse while you have thrush and during treatment, as this can worsen irritation and delay healing.
