You can help the medicine work better by eating smaller meals more often and avoiding spicy or oily foods.

FAQs:

Why should C Met 400mg Tablet be taken at bedtime?

C Met 400mg Tablet may be prescribed as a single daily dose or in divided doses. When taken once daily, bedtime dosing is preferred because it helps suppress nighttime acid secretion more effectively. Taking it at the same time each night also makes it easier to remember your dose.

Can I take C Met 400mg Tablet with antacids?

Affirmative, C Met 400mg Tablet can be taken along with antacids, as they do not interfere with each other’s action. However, since both reduce acidity, using more than one acid-reducing medicine at the same time is generally unnecessary unless your doctor advises it.

Is there any vitamin or mineral loss when taking C Met 400mg Tablet?

C Met 400mg Tablet is not known to cause vitamin or mineral loss. However, medicines in the H2-blocker class may reduce the absorption of vitamin B12 when used for long periods (typically more than two years). If long-term therapy is needed, your doctor may monitor your vitamin B12 levels.

Are there any withdrawal symptoms after stopping C Met 400mg Tablet?

No withdrawal symptoms have been reported after stopping C Met 400mg Tablet. Available studies suggest that the medicine does not cause dependence or addiction.

Can I take C Met 400mg Tablet with coffee?

There are no known harmful interactions between C Met 400mg Tablet and coffee. However, C Met 400mg Tablet may slow the breakdown of caffeine, which can increase its effects. Coffee itself can increase stomach acid and may worsen symptoms such as heartburn or acidity, so limiting coffee intake may help your condition.
