Description:

Boliflex Syrup helps lower body temperature (fever) and reduce pain and inflammation (redness and swelling) both in infants and children.

Boliflex Syrup works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger that is known to cause fever and inflammation. Adhere to the prescribed dose, time, and way while giving this medicine to your child. It can be given orally before or after meals. However, it is best to give this medicine to your child after meals as this will prevent the chance of developing an upset stomach. Try giving it at a fixed time so that it becomes a part of your child’s daily routine and helps prevent missing a dose.

If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking this medicine, give the same dose again but do skip it if it's time for the next dose. Avoid giving more than the recommended dose for fast relief as that may cause unwanted effects in your child. Total the full dose of the medicine even if your child feels better after a few doses because stopping the medicine in between may worsen the condition.

Your child may show side effects like nausea, vomiting, bloating, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, heartburn, and diarrhea after taking this medicine. These side effects are temporary and are likely to subside once your child’s body adapts to the medicine. In case they persist or become bothersome for your child, do consult your child’s doctor on a priority basis.

Earlier administering Boliflex Syrup to your child, do inform the doctor if your child is allergic to any medicine or products, or has a history of any heart problems, birth defects, liver disease, kidney disease, lung disease, or bleeding disorder. This information is critical for dose alteration and helps in planning your child's overall treatment.

Directions For Use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Boliflex Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

No, it is not recommended to alter the dose of the medicine without consulting a doctor. While increasing the dose without proper judgment may lead to toxicity, decreasing it may cause recurrence of symptoms. So, for best results, speak to your child’s doctor if you feel a change in dose may be needed.

How much Boliflex Syrup should I give to my child?

You may be required to give Boliflex Syrup to your child for a few days to weeks, depending upon the severity of the infection. Retain giving this medicine to your child in the dose and frequency advised by the doctor and you’ll notice that the pain or fever will reduce and your child will start feeling better. However, if your child continues to feel unwell even after completion of the full prescribed course of the medicine, consult your child’s doctor as soon as possible.

Are there any serious side effects of this medicine for my child?

Although Boliflex Syrup is well-tolerated by children, if you notice your child experiencing any intolerable episodes like persistent vomiting, body swelling, decreased urine frequency, or serious allergic reaction, rush to your doctor on an immediate basis.

Are there any specific contraindications associated with the use of Boliflex Syrup?

The use of Boliflex Syrup is considered to be harmful for patients with known allergy to any of the components or excipients of this medicine or in patients with known allergy to other painkillers (NSAIDs). It should preferably be avoided in patients with a history of stomach ulcers or in patients with active, recurrent stomach ulcer/bleeding. It should also be avoided in patients with a history of heart failure, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.
