Biovac Typhoid 25mcg Injection is an active immunizing agent. It is given to prevent typhoid fever caused by certain bacteria called S. Typhi. It is usually administered at least 2 weeks prior to expected exposure to S. Typhi.
Biovac Typhoid 25mcg Injection is administered by a doctor or a nurse. You should not be self-administered this vaccine at home. It is recommended for travelers to areas where a recognized risk of exposure to typhoid exists. Its effectiveness lasts for around 3 years from the time of vaccination. Booster injection is required every 3 years to provide continued immunity.
