Description:

Asar-CT 40/6.25 Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). It works by relaxing the blood vessels and making the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. It also removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body.

Asar-CT 40/6.25 Tablet can be taken with or without food, but take it at the same time to get the most benefit. It should be taken as your doctor's advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Never skip any doses and finish a full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor as it may worsen your symptoms.

It may cause side effects like tiredness, decreased potassium level in blood, decreased blood pressure, increased creatinine level in blood, and increased uric acid level in blood. It is advised to drink plenty of fluids while taking this medicine. It may cause dizziness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is required while taking this medicine.

Earlier taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding if you have ever had any problems with your blood circulation or have liver or kidney problems. Your doctor should also know about all other medicines you are taking as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works.

Uses:

Directions For Use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Asar-CT 40/6.25 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Side Effects:

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Asar-CT 40/6.25 Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Pregnancy

Asar-CT 40/6.25 Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
Breast feeding
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Asar-CT 40/6.25 Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Driving
UNSAFE
Asar-CT 40/6.25 Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
CAUTION
Asar-CT 40/6.25 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Asar-CT 40/6.25 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Employ of Asar-CT 40/6.25 Tablet is not recommended in these patients.
Liver
CAUTION
Asar-CT 40/6.25 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Asar-CT 40/6.25 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Employ of Asar-CT 40/6.25 Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
