FAQs:

What is Apricyt Kit used for?

Who should not take Apricyt Kit?

Apricyt Kit should not be taken by anyone allergic to aprepitant or any of the ingredients in the medicine. It must also not be used together with certain medicines such as pimozide, terfenadine, astemizole, or cisapride, because dangerous interactions may occur.

What precautions should I take before using Apricyt Kit?

Earlier taking Apricyt Kit, tell your doctor if you have liver problems, are taking blood thinners like warfarin, or use hormonal contraceptives. Aprepitant may make contraceptive pills less effective, so extra protection may be needed.

Can Apricyt Kit affect my liver?

Affirmative. Apricyt Kit is metabolised by the liver, so people with moderate to severe liver disease need extra monitoring. Signs of liver problems may include yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, or unusual tiredness.

What are the serious side effects of Apricyt Kit?

Earnest side effects of Apricyt Kit may include severe allergic reactions (such as swelling of the face, lips, or throat and difficulty breathing), skin reactions, or liver problems. If you notice these, you should seek medical help immediately.

Can Apricyt Kit cause allergic reactions?

Affirmative. Although they are rare, Apricyt Kit can cause serious allergic reactions. Symptoms include rash, itching, hives, swelling, or difficulty breathing. Emergency treatment is needed if these occur.

Does Apricyt Kit affect blood clotting or heart rhythm?

Apricyt Kit can affect blood-thinning medicines like warfarin and may change blood test results. While it does not usually affect heart rhythm, dangerous interactions can happen if taken with certain heart medicines.

Can Apricyt Kit make hormonal contraceptives less effective?

Affirmative. Apricyt Kit can reduce the effectiveness of birth control pills, patches, or implants. Women using hormonal contraception should use an extra non-hormonal method during treatment and for two months after the last dose of this medicine.
