Description:

Ampskalyiser Oral Solution is a combination of three medicines. It is used in the treatment and prevention of kidney stones. It works by preventing the formation as well as breaking down the crystals in the kidneys.

Ampskalyiser Oral Solution may be prescribed alone or in combination with other medicines. It should be taken with food. Measure the solution and dilute it in a glass of water before taking it. Take it regularly and do not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor. You should not stop taking the medicine until your doctor tells you it is okay to stop.

Using this medicine may cause a few common side effects such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and stomach pain. If you experienced any such side effect that does not resolve with time or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing them.

The medicine may not be suitable for everybody. Earlier taking it, let your doctor know if you have any medical conditions or disorders such as problems with your heart, liver, or kidneys. Let your doctor also know all the other medicines you are taking to make sure the medicine is safe for you. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctors before using this medicine.

Directions For Use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Ampskalyiser Oral Solution is to be taken with food.

Ampskalyiser Oral Solution should be taken as directed by the treating doctor. Forever dilute the dosage recommended by your doctor with one glass of water, before taking it.

Who should not take Ampskalyiser Oral Solution?

Ampskalyiser Oral Solution should not be taken by people who suffer from high potassium levels (hyperkalemia) as it may lead to rise of potassium to even higher levels that can cause a cardiac arrest. Such people include those with chronic renal failure, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, acute dehydration, those who do strenuous exercise, or suffer from adrenal insufficiency, extensive tissue breakdown, or those taking potassium-sparing agents (such as triamterene, spironolactone or amiloride). People with delayed gastric emptying, esophageal compression, intestinal obstruction or stricture, or those taking anticholinergic medications should also refrain from taking Ampskalyiser Oral Solution. People who have peptic ulcer disease, active urinary tract infection, or renal insufficiency (glomerular filtration rate of less than 0.7 ml/kg/min) should also not take Ampskalyiser Oral Solution. If you have any further doubts, please consult your doctor.

Can I take Ampskalyiser Oral Solution in pregnancy?

This is because certain medical conditions may affect your treatment and you may even need dose modifications. Let your doctor know about all the other medicines you are taking because they may affect, or be affected by, this medicine. Inform your doctor if you are planning a baby, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

What medicines should I avoid while on treatment with Ampskalyiser Oral Solution?

Medicines containing containing potassium or those that raise potassium levels such as potassium-sparing diuretics, Angiotensin Receptor Blockers (ARBs such as irbesartan, valsartan, losartan and candesartan), Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme inhibitors (ACE inhibitors such as captopril, enalapril, lisinopril), Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs such as ibuprofen), certain nutritional supplements, etc., must be stopped before starting treatment with Ampskalyiser Oral Solution.
