Directions For Use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Istamet XR Tablet is to be taken with food.

A: Do not take excessive alcohol while taking Istamet XR Tablet 10's, as this may increase the risk of a life-threatening condition called as lactic acidosis (too much of lactic acid in the body).

A: No. Istamet XR Tablet 10's is only prescribed for the treatment of type 2 diabetes also called as 'non-insulin-dependent diabetes'.
