Clopitab-CV Gold 20 Capsule 10's is a combination drug of blood-thinning agents and cholesterol-lowering agents, primarily taken for the prevention of heart attack and stroke. It also lowers the raised level of cholesterol in our body. A heart attack generally refers to a blocked flow of blood to the heart due to the blockage of arteries. The blockage is most often a buildup of fat, cholesterol and other substances, which form a plaque in the arteries that feed the heart (coronary arteries).

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Clopitab-CV Gold 20 Capsule is to be taken with food.

Warning & Precautions:

Let your doctor know if are sensitive to atorvastatin, clopidogrel or aspirin, have any active liver disease, active bleeding issues (like peptic ulcer, brain haemorrhage), pregnant or planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding. The patient should inform the doctor that they are taking Clopitab-CV Gold 20 Capsule 10's before any surgery is scheduled or any new medicine is taken. Atorvastatin present in Clopitab-CV Gold 20 Capsule 10's is a pregnancy category X drug so it is contraindicated in pregnant women. 


Q. What is Clopitab-CV Gold 20 Capsule?
Clopitab-CV Gold 20 Capsule is a combination of three medicines: Aspirin / Acetylsalicylic acid, Atorvastatin and Clopidogrel. Aspirin and Clopidogrel are antiplatelet medicines. They work by preventing the platelets from sticking together and decrease the formation of harmful blood clots. On the other hand, Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medicine that blocks an enzyme which makes cholesterol in the body. It lowers the "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises the "good" cholesterol (HDL).

Q. Can the use of Clopitab-CV Gold 20 Capsule cause dizziness?
Yes, the use of Clopitab-CV Gold 20 Capsule can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, it is better to rest for some time and resume once you feel better.

Q. Can the use of Clopitab-CV Gold 20 Capsule cause nausea and vomiting?
Yes, the use of Clopitab-CV Gold 20 Capsule can cause nausea and vomiting. Taking it with milk, food or with antacids can prevent nausea. Avoid taking fatty or fried foods along with this medication. In case of vomiting, drink plenty of water or other fluids by taking small frequent sips. Talk to your doctor if vomiting persists and you notice signs of dehydration like dark colored and strong-smelling urine and a low frequency of urination. Do not take any other medicine without speaking to a doctor.
